AI & Flexmls - What's Next?

AI and machine-learning are rapidly influencing the world around us in fascinating ways. At the real estate technology level, there's something new to learn and understand every day. Our goal in all that we do is to support and maximize the MLS value engine and help the MLS make the market work. So with AI innovation, we're working to discover, explore, and implement elements into the Flexmls System that meet those goals and help subscribers in ways that matter most. Currently, we're focused on functionality that reduces time spent on listing entry and search functions, and improving data depth and accuracy. 

We have several new AI-driven features on the horizon you can look forward to that we will be implementing. The first feature went live on Wednesday and is a behind-the-scenes enhancement focused on using AI-generated photo tags, when available, to label an image’s room (e.g. Front of Structure, Kitchen, Bath). This tag will not be displayed but is readable by accessible technology. This feature supports ADA compliance by allowing screen readers to read the photo tag to visually impaired users. Previously, screen readers simply read the default file name (e.g. IMG_12345). This innovation supports increased efficiency, accuracy, accessibility, and customer engagement–while shortening the time to complete a listing. It is just the first stop on our AI roadmap for Flexmls.
